The Internet Revolution
The Internet Revolution
Most of us can’t imagine life without Internet service at home.
We use it every day for news and entertainment, as well as to research healthcare options for our families; to connect with friends and family; to search and apply for jobs, scholarships, or schools; or to shop and save time.
Unfortunately, many low-income households in this country aren’t connected and they’re missing out on the life-changing resources the Internet has to offer.
The latest report by the Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Nielsen showed rural India had 227 million active internet users, 10% more than urban India’s about 205 million.
Also, there are around 71 million kids, aged 5-11 years, who use their family member’s mobile devices to go online. With this, India surpassed another milestone of having 504 million active internet users who are 5 years old or above — 53 million more than 451 million in March 2019. Active internet users are defined as those who use the internet at least once a month.
As a great person says that “Great power comes with great responsibility” , we have to accept the fact that most of the internet is filled with content that’s not suitable for kids. We witness thousands cases of online harassment, bulling, trolling and child abusing.
As a responsible citizen we should understand our duty to keep internet a healthy place for all, so everyone can get most out of it. Internet can help us find our goals and master the fields that were unknown a decade ago.
Online platforms like GyaanStation are providing a safe place where you can learn by experts and use your skills to achieve your goals in life.
